From horse-drawn carriages to modern logistics
The story of Transports Corcoy It began in 1896, when Josep Corcoy i Guinart, from a family of carters, founded a small company in Girona dedicated to the transport of goods, furniture, and grain. With a few carts brought from Olot and the help of his family, the first services were launched that, over time, would mark the beginning of a large company.
Since its inception, the company has passed through several generations, each adapting to the demands of its time. During the Civil War, Josep's daughter, Margarida, took over the reins of the family business and, with the help of her daughter María del Tura, they managed to keep the company afloat in very difficult circumstances.
By the 1940s, cars had given way to trucks and vans, and Transports Corcoy
began a modernization process that has continued to this day. Under the leadership of Josep Riuró and his family, the company grew in infrastructure and services, becoming a logistics benchmark in the Girona region.
Today, with the fifth generation incorporated, Transports Corcoy
continues to offer transportation, distribution, and storage solutions with the same spirit of commitment, closeness, and continuous improvement that has characterized us since day one.
